3 Click Color Correction

Now that we’ve determined where the lightest white and the darkest black areas, of our image,

are located we can quickly and easily correct the color.

Step 1. With the image open select Image > Adjustments > Levels.

Step 2. Click on the Black Eyedropper to make it active.

Step 3. Move the Black Eyedropper over the center of Target 1 and Click.

Notice how the slight bluish cast in the shadows disappears and shadow tonality deepens.

Step 4. Click on the White Eyedropper to make it active.

Step 5. Move the White Eyedropper over the center of Target 2 and Click.

Step 6. Instead of using the Gray Eyedropper, Click on the Mid-tone (Gamma) slider and move it to the left to lighten or to the right to darken the mid-tones.

In this image we need to lighten the mid-tones.

Step 7. Click OK.

That’s it and it’s just that easy. Two clicks and a quick move of the center slider and you have a color corrected image. Very Cool!
