| Battery Backup
All of our systems come with a Limited 3 year warranty against manufacturer's defects. To reduce the risk of damage to your new PC and to increase the overall lifespan of your system we
strongly recommend a battery backup or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for your new Computer. The effects of power problems include keyboard lockup, complete data loss, hardware degradation,
damaged motherboards, and more, making downtime inevitable.

A UPS instantly switches your computer to emergency battery backup power and allows you to work through brief power outages or to shut down your system in the event of an extended outage.
High-performance surge suppression protects your computer from electrical noise and damaging power surges, even lightning.
The use of a "Power Strip" is beneficial, but does not allow the level of protection that you get from a battery filtered UPS. There are several manufacturers
on the market today that make battery backups for computers. Most of them offer warranties on the equipment plugged in to their devices (I.E. $25,000 surge protection warranty).
The size of the UPS that you purchase will determine how much time you have to work on your computer without power, so be careful when buying a battery that will not allow you to save those
big files in time to shut down your computer. Most manufacturers will print a chart on the back of the UPC that shows which model offers the power and time to properly shut down.
Note: If you are operating your computer when the power goes out, immediately save your work, close all open applications and shut down your PC. Time is of the essence. Be certain you are
not consuming valuable battery time by plugging non-vital system devices, such as speakers and printers, into your UPC. They will consume valuable battery time and will reduce the amount
of time you have to safely shut down your system. |
